Peter F. Buckley was born 17 Jun 1884 in Cincinnati, Hamilton Co. Ohio. He was the son of Cornelius Buckley and Mary Haurahan. Pete Buckley married Alma K. Kohus, daughter of Louis Kohus and Julia T. Elbrey. They had 2 children, Dorothy and Pete Jr. Pete Buckley was a Cincinnati Fireman. He and three other firemen were killed and fourteen injured when the east wall of the Newton Tea and Spice Company collapsed on them while they were playing hose streams into the building during a fire. The wall collapsed without warning as a result of an explosion in the building. The firemen were working from the ramp to the Suspension Bridge when the wall fell on them. Pete lived long enough at General Hospital to see his wife and sister.

At the time Pete died he lived at 2617 Hackberry Street with his wife, two small children and mother-in-law Julia (Elbrey) Kohus. Pete Buckley died on 17 Jan 1920. He is buried in Calvary Cemetery, Cincinnati, Ohio. Six years after Pete died, Alma married Clearance Dreyfus, had another child named Bernard in 1915 and the family moved the Atlanta, Georgia. Her mother Julia (Elbrey) Kohus went with them. Some time after Julia died, Alma returned to Ohio. She died 7 Sep 1981.
