Edward Henry Kohus 1912-1990
Edward Henry Kohus was born on 19 Apr 1912 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was the son of Herbert Bernard Kohus Sr. 1886-1969 and Mabel Julia Duncan 1890-1970. Edward grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, and was employed as a fireman with the Cincinnati Fire Department. He married Ruth C. Kaufold and had two sons, Edward John Kohus "Sonny" 1934-2002 and Richard Kohus "Richey". Edward and family left Cincinnati in the 1960's and moved to Hollywood, Florida, where he thoroughly enjoyed his favorite pastime, fishing. Sometime later he and Ruth moved to Georgia where he was residing at the time of his death on 23 Jul 1990. Ruth (Kaufold) Kohus died on 7 Aug 1997 while living in North Carolina. Edward Kohus and wife Ruth (Kaufold) Kohus are buried in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Cincinnati, Ohio. His mother and father as well as sister Adeline and brother Clifford are also buried there.
