Edward Frederick Kohus 1877-1952
Edward Frederick Kohus born 1 Jun 1877, in Cincinnati, Hamilton, County, Ohio, was the son of Joan Heinrich Kohues who changed his name after immigration to Henry Kohus 1838-1913 and Anna Gertrud Fromme 1844-1909. Henry and Anna were born in Ostbevern, Westphalia, Prussia. Edward's father was one of three Kohus brothers to immigrate from Ostbevern to Cincinnati, Ohio. Edward's father was a merchant tailor by trade. Edward married Loretta Dillhoff 1877-1961 of Cincinnati, daughter of John Henry and Burnadine Dillhoff from Hanover, Prussia. Edward's last know occupation was as bookkeeper in a railroad office. Edward Frederick Kohus died on 13 Sep1952 and is buried in one of his father's family plots in Calvary Cemetery, Cincinnati, Ohio. His wife Loretta (Dillhoff) Kohus died 15 Feb 1961 while living in Kenton Co., Kentucky and is buried in St. John Cemetery, Cincinnati, Ohio.
