William Ottis Hargis 1924-2005
William Ottis Hargis was born 4 Jun 1924 in Rowan County, Kentucky. He was the son of Charles Ottis Hargis and Maudie Marie (Chapman) Hargis. He moved to Clermont County, Ohio as a young man where he married Carrie Jordan. They had 2 children, William Hargis Jr. and Susan Hargis. His son William Jr. was tragically killed in an automobile accident in 1969. William was a veteran of the U. S. Army and served his country during WWII. He was employed by the B. & O. Railroad from which he retired. His wife Carrie died in 2004 and William Ottis Hargis died on 11 Feb 2005 in Medina County, Ohio. They are buried in Graceland Memorial Cemetery, Clermont Co., Ohio.
