Randell Delano Hargis was born 8 Jul 1933 in Rowan County, Kentucky. He was one of 8 siblings of Charles Ottis Hargis and Maudie Marie (Chapman) Hargis. Randell was raised on a farm in Rowan Co., Kentucky and joined the U. S. Army on 23 Jan 1952, He serving during the Korean War and was honorably discharged from active service on 21 Jul 1954. On 20 May 1956 Randell married LaVern Johnson in Rochester, Lorain Co., Ohio. LaVern was born in Rowan County, Kentucky the daughter of George William Johnson and Alma Hazel Stevens. They made their home in Wakeman, Ashland County in northern Ohio. They had 2 children, Randi LaVerne Hargis and Rhonda Hargis. Randell worked for the Ford Motor Company. Randell Delano Hargis died on 24 Mar 1990 in Wooster, Wayne Co., Ohio. He is buried in Bradley Family Cemetery, Olive Hill, Carter County, Kentucky.
