James H. Hargis
1855-1941
James H. Hargis was born May 1855, the son of Jacob Weddington Hargis 1828-1915 and his first wife Lucinda South. He was originally buried in the Hargis Cemetery. When a dam was built on the Licking River forming Cave Run Lake, the Hargis Cemetery and others in the area were relocated to New Alfrey Cemetery near Morehead, Kentucky. James Hargis died in 1941.
