The original Kohues farm house and stable at Dorfbauerschaft 62, Ostbevern, Wesphalia, Germany where the family of Georg Henricus Kohues and Anna Maria Gertrud Piegelbrock lived when their sons immigrated to America beginning 1850. The land was in the Kohues name at least as early as 1825 as indicated on land records. These photos were taken about 1999.
The last Kohues to own the property at Dorfbauerschaft 62, Ostbevern, Wesphalia, Germany was Bernard Kohues, 20 Mar 1945 - 5 Dec 1998. To my knowledge, the property remained in the family from at least 1825 until Bernard's recent death in 1998. I was told the property is now rented to tenants.
