Julia T (Elbery) Kohus 1860-1945
Julia Elbrey was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on 23 Jun 1860. She was the daughter of John and Mary Elbrey from Hanover, Prussia. Julia married Louis Kohus on 4 May 1879 in Cincinnati. John was the son of John Kohus a merchant tailor and Maria Veronica Determann both from Prussia. Together they had 4 children, John, Veronica, Herbert and Alma. Sometime after the death of her husband Louis in 1907, Julia went to live with her daughter Alma and husband Pete Buckley. Pete was a fireman and died fighting a fire in 1920. Her daughter Alma next married Clearance H. Dreyfus about 1926 and the family moved from Cincinnati to Atlanta, Georgia about 1927, where Julia lived until her death on 16 Aug 1945. She is buried in Westside Cemetery, Atlanta, Georgia.
