Due to it's large number of German inhabitants, Cincinnati was home to several German language newspapers. This obituary was taken from the Cincinnati Volksfreund. It was found at the Cincinnati Public Library in the old newspaper section. The library has a wonderful old collection of historic Cincinnati newspapers that can be viewed on microfilm.
