That is me, Michael Kohus Sr. 1947- , on the left with grandpa Herbert Bernard Kohus Sr. 1886-1969. Herbert B Kohus SR., was born to the parents of Louis Kohus and Julia (Elbrey) Kohus in Cincinnati, Ohio. He married Lizzie LaFever on 7 Sep 1903. Lizzie died on 1 Jan 1905 during the birth of their first child Julia Alma Kohus 1905-1984. Herbert later married Mabel Julia Duncan on 15 Apr 1907. Together they had 7 children, Evelyn, Louis, Edward, Herbert Jr., Adeline, Robert, and William. Herbert is shown here in his conductor uniform. He worked most of his adult life as a street car conductor for the Cincinnati Street Railway Company (now Queen City Metro) from which he retired in the early part of the 1950's. Herbert is buried in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Cincinnati, Ohio. (Photo 1949)
