After the death of her daughter Alma's first husband, a Cincinnati fireman who died in a fire accident in 1920, Alma married Clearance H. Dreyfus, a salesman. They were married in 1926 and some time later, Julia relocated with them to Fulton, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta. Julia died there in 1945.
