Obituary for Blanche Tackett
Blanche Tackett, 73, of Williams Hollow, Pikeville, died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007, at Pikeville Medical Center. She was born in Pike County, April 5, 1933, a daughter of the late Bud and Pluma Stanley Chapman.She was custodian at First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two brothers, MacDonald Chapman and Rell Chapman; and two sisters, Betty Collins and Loretta Hayes.She is survived by her husband, Franklin E. Tackett; four daughters, Rhonda Jean Hopkins of Caney, Brenda Joyce Stepp of Columbus, Ohio, Christina Jane Kerns of Fishtrap, Cynthia Joan Green of Shelbiana; two brothers, Ernest Chapman of Columbus and Lonie Chapman of Hardy; four sisters, Diana Cassady of Columbus, Muriel Jude of Lovely, Gerties Sharp of Borderline, W.Va., Mavis Rogers of South Williamson; seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday, Feb. 10, in the Pikeville Funeral Home Chapel with Roger Parson, David Bentley and Red McCown officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery, Chloe Road. Arrangements are under direction of Pikeville Funeral Home, South Mayo Trail.
