Allen Gearhart
Allen Gearhart, born in Virginia, was the father of Nancy Ethel Gearhart. Her mother was Mary Hardin from Kentucky. This information was supplied by Nancy's son Jack Hargis on Nancy's death certificate in 1959, as was the spelling of her maiden name Gearhart. Nancy's son Thomas also spelled his mother's maiden name Gearhart, on his father William Norvel Hargis' death certificate in 1946. Nancy's son, Thomas Allen Hargis, must have gotten his middle name from his grandfather Allen Gearhart.
